Utah Trip

We recently went up to Midway Ut. over fall break. Midway is such a cute and fun town! The people there are so nice and friendly!

Driving in the RV!! It is the ONLY way to travel!!
Aaron taking his turn to drive! Luckily he has experience from driving the school bus :)
While up there we went to a really cool cowboy museum that was owned a friend of Brent and Mary (the people we stayed with)
A real indian hand!! It was so creepy!
A piano that played by itself!

All of us sitting on the porch of the museum! It looks like a family pic!
The gentleman on the left is the owner of the museum and then Brent and Mary
The girls playing in the rocks!
 Spencer, Aaron, and Oskar
All of the boys went on a horseback ride through the mountains

It is so beautiful there!! Everywhere you look there is something beautiful to look at. Looking out of their window you can see the Mount Timpanogos!
While the boys went on a ride the girls went into town and explored! This was a very cute Ice cream place called Fillerup.

Here is their stake center! The whole town was settled by the Swiss so they got special permission to have a stake center that reflected Switzerland.
President Monson's house!! Now that he is the prophet he usually is only here for the month of July. It was so amazing to see how modest our prophet lives! It was a beautiful home but nothing too over the top. What an example he is!
Here is the apostle Jeffery Holland's house! Another beautiful yet modest home!! I think that these men know what it means when we are told to be modest.

Temple Square! Such an amazing spirit that is felt from walking around the temple grounds.
Pearl with her favorite person EVER- Spencer!
We took that whole tour of the conference center which was my favorite part!! There were several times when I could feel the spirit so strong!

I love this picture of Pearl! Believe it or not she is on the top of the conference center!
The girls throwing money into the fountain.

Later that day we meet up with my cousin Heston who I had not seen in 4 YEARS!! It was so fun to see him and his family and catch up!! We went to a bounce house and let the kids run around and then later ate at Texas Roadhouse!

 Chillin in the RV
She was SO SO excited to see Stratton! He had been living up there for the past two months.
The girls playing with their one of MANY new friends! They had so much fun up there! They were on a dead run the entire time!!! Making zip lines and riding the quad and climbing the trees!! They said that they would take Midway over Disneyland any day!

NYC

Girls trip to NYC was a BLAST!! I seriously love that city and hope to make it a tradition to visit every year! There were nine of us girls and little Stella! When we first arrived, we took the air train to the subway to get to Manhattan. When we arrived at the subway station it was SO packed! We later found out that lightning had struck one of the subways and everyone was directed into our subway, ya NOT! There were these very nice gentlemen, who were all attorneys, that got directed to our subway (very lucky for us) that were hysterical! My sister n law said it was like an episode out of Seinfeld- it really was! Anyways, the one man standing up in the picture was so nice that he walked us all the way to our hotel!! The one gentlemen on the right hand side of the pick all the way in the back was another guy we picked up all the way back from the airport! He was from Scotland and had no idea where he was going! We told him stick with us we will help you- RIGHT! (the attorneys helped him as well)
Central Park was AMAZING! I love that place and could spend all day there! We had such a good time just strolling through the park and looking at all the beauty!

Time Square was a lot of fun as well! So so so many people and tons of stuff to do! I had to take a pic with Elmo and Cookie for Pearl!
Brooklyn Bridge
The lovely Occupy Wall Street protestors! Who we later got stuck on the Brooklyn Bridge with! They closed the Manhattan side of the bridge and wouldn't let anyone get back into Manhattan so we had to walk to the Brooklyn side and ended up finding a cab to take back into the city. We did get to see a small section of Brooklyn which was very pretty!

700 people got arrested that day! They were backing in city buses from Brooklyn to help take these guys to jail. All in all it was a crazy experience and was amazing to see that many people protesting!

I love all of the beautiful potted plants there! They are all over the place!
Took this pic for Aaron :)

This was a bakery in Little Italy

The best burger I have ever had!! Seriously so good! I was very sad to find out that there only location was in the New York Times building :( Guess I will have to go back!!
The whole group of us at Time Square!! So many memories!!!! We hope to all do it again!!!

Monroe's sixth birthday party. She had a couple of friends over and they watched the new Barbie Princess Charm School movie.

Which then at the end of the movie turned into a dance party....
 Then a human chain.......
Followed by a line dance of cha cha cha!

Beyond excited that I finally was able to get Pearl to sit long enough to take her picture!! I hope that this is a trend! She did have her stipulations though... she had to have her baba!

August 2011

August came and went! Wow! Here are a few pics from our August. We spent a lot of time in Payson, escaping the heat! Rodeo, Rodeo Parade, and a little hike that Aaron took the girls on.
