Back to school...

I can't believe that another school year has started already! They were so tired this morning!! No more sleeping in till 9! Plus it didn't help that we let them out of bed to run around in the rain at 10 o clock last night (hey, it may never rain again here!)
Time just seems to be flying! As I was reading in a book today, and I was thinking about the girl's going back to school and how our summer days are gone.
I found a really good poem that made me stop and think.

Slow Dance
Have you ever watched kids on a merry-go-round?
Or listened to the rain just slapping on the ground?
Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight?
Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?
You'd better slow down. Don't dance so fast.
Time is short, and the music won't last.

Do you run through each day on the fly?
When you asked "How are you?' do you even hear the reply?
When the day is done, do you lie in bed with a hundred things to do running through your head?
You'd better slow down. Don't dance so fast.
Time is short, and the music won't last.

Ever told a child "We'll do it tomorrow"?
Then, in your haste, not noticed the sorrow?
Ever lost touch and let a good friendship die?
'Cause you ever had time to call and say, "Hi."
You'd better slow down. Don't dance so fast.
Time is short, and the music won't last.

I will be forever grateful to my parents for always giving me time! My parents were always there growing up. I don't ever remember being put off until another day. We did everything as a family and I hope to never loose sight of that with my own family! When I was pregnant with Patsy I knew that I just wanted to be a mom and nothing else. I do not want to have any regrets or be fifty something and look back and say I should have....
Three girls later and we are still enjoying every minute with them!
